A Likeness of Beauty 2010 Calendar

If I do say so myself, this makes a great Bodhi Day, Winter Solstice, Advent, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year's or Epiphany gift.

I'm completely in love with this calendar. I look at it several times a day; marveling that I took these shots and I have a product with my work in it. I did this! Words fail.

Lucent Dreams is the vision of Sandie Griffin and Kim Torres, partners in creativity and life.

We live in Louisville, Kentucky where Sandie is a life coach and mentor and Kim is a photographer.

We get joy from wandering and traveling with our cameras, shooting as we go. While we take different approaches to our work, we both look for and try to capture this lucent world of ours. Landscapes, people, shapes and interesting compositions are only as compelling as the way they are seen through the light that falls on them, or even shines through them.

As far as dreams go, we believe in them. We believe that any worthy ideal can be realized, if started and pursued with a relentless passion and activity. Just “start it.”

A significant portion of our profits will be contributed to cancer research. We are so excited for this opportunity to pay homage to our mothers, who both fought and lost the battle to cancer. We believe gifts and blessings are to flow through us freely and without reservation; something our mothers lived and taught us.
